Abstract:

In this research, we have developed cheap recyclable and task-specific acidic ionic liquids (AILs) 1-hydrogen-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate [Hmim]HSO4, 1-hydrogen-3-methylimidazolium chloride [Hmim]Cl, 2-pyrrolidonium hydrogensulfate [Hnhp]HSO4 and applied them in acid catalyzed synthesis of quinoxaline derivatives from 1,2-phenylendiamines and 1,2-dicarbonyl compounds. The products could be separated from the catalyst simply by filtration and the catalyst could be recycled and reused several times without noticeable loss of efficiency.

Eco-Friendly and One-Pot Synthesis of 1,8-Dioxooctahydroxanthene Derivatives Catalyzed by Task-Specific Brønsted Acidic Ionic Liquid

Efficient and one-pot synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes was described by Knoevenagel condensation, Michael addition and cyclodehydration of dimedone. This reaction was carried out through condensation of dimedone and various aromatic aldehydes in the presence of task-specific Brønsted acidic ionic liquid under solvent free conditions. The catalyst could be recycled five times without si...

One-pot synthesis of highly regioselective β-azido alcohols catalyzed by Brønsted acidic ionic liquids

In this protocol, 3-(2-carboxybenzoyl)-1-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium chloride [Cbmim]Cl and sulfonic acid functionalized pyridinium chloride [pyridine-SO3H]Cl as a new, reusable, and green Brønsted acidic ionic liquid (BAIL) catalyst were synthesized and successfully used for the one-pot ring opening of epoxide with sodium azide (NaN3) in water at room temperature. Epoxides under ring-opening easi...
